Norwegian Cruise Line decided to delay all voyages through April 30th, 2021 on January 19th, 2021.

On October 5th NCL informed their fellow cruisers on Instagram that they’ve decided to further suspend all sailings until November 30th, 2020, one month after the CDC gave the “ok” to sail again under their ‘Conditional Sailing Order’.
“We have made the decision to further suspend cruise voyages across our fleet through November 30th, 2020 as well as all voyages onboard Norwegian Star, Dawn, and Spirit with embarkation dates through March 30th, 2021.” Norwegian Cruise Line said in their October 5th Instagram post.
Currently NCL hasn’t updated any information regarding why they decided to delay their cruising other than “Your safety is our #1 priority on and off the boat.”
NCL has been continuously delaying the sailings of their ships since October 5th.
“We have made the decision to further suspend cruise voyages across our fleet through December 31, 2020.” Norwegian Cruise Line said on November 2nd, 28 days before they were supposed to start sailing again after delaying the cruising of their fleet for another month.
NCL then further suspended the sailing of their fleets through February 28th, 2021 on December 2nd, 29 days before they were supposed to start sailing again after the two month delay.
And then finally on January 19th, 2021 Norwegian Cruise Line “further suspended cruise voyages across our fleet through April 30th 2021.”
“We remain optimistic and expect to launch cruise operations in the near future”, NCL said on all four of their operation updates.
However with all these delays Norwegian is providing funds to those who have been affected.
According to the NCL website, “Guests who had an active reservation on a suspended cruise in April 2021 will automatically receive a refund of their cruise fare in the original form of payment amount for the amount paid by February 22, 2021. Additionally, a 10% off coupon will be automatically added to the guest’s account by January 20 which is valid for one year from date of issue, and can be used for any Norwegian Cruise Line voyage embarking through 2022 and is combinable with any Future Cruise Credits and all future promotions at time of booking.”
Along with refunds, Norwegian sends their condolences as they want to keep their guests' interests at heart.
“We are keeping our guests’ and travel partners’ best interest at heart. We are very sorry for any inconvenience these changes may cause.”
