The U.S. Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) softened Covid-19 travel warning for over 100 countries with 61 of those countries moving down from the highest Level 4 warning and the remaining 50 countries were moved to level 2 or level 1 according to Reuters.
Some of these level 1 and 2 countries/territories are Iceland, Israel, New Zealand, Australia and St. Barts; all places that accept fully vaccinated American travelers. However, New Zealand and Australia have some of the toughest travel restrictions in the world.
Then some European countries have been moved down to level 3, meaning there is a high frequency of Covid-19 cases. This includes popular European countries such as Italy, Greece, Spain and France, how have all started allowing U.S. travelers to enter into the country. Japan has also moved from level 4 to level 3 but some areas of Japan are still under lock down.
However there are countries such as Croatia and the Maldives that are welcoming U.S. travelers into the country but they're ranked Level 4 by the CDC.
Also, non essential travel is still banned for non-US citizens from the EU, UK, Brazil, South Africa and India.
